Harish Bhat - Speaker Profile

Harish Bhat is a renowned Business Leader and bestselling author. His books span many genres, including business history, fiction, poetry and humor. Four of his books—#Tata Stories, Office Secrets, Tata Log and Jamsetji Tata: Powerful Learnings for Corporate Success—have been national bestsellers and have been translated into several Indian languages.
Harish has worked with the Tata group for thirty – eight years, holding many senior roles, including as brand custodian, Tata Sons; managing director and CEO, Tata Global Beverages; and chief operating officer of the watches and jewelry businesses at Titan Company. He currently serves as a director on the boards of some Tata companies, including Trent, Infiniti Retail (Croma) and Tata Starbucks. Harish was selected by LinkedIn as one of its Top Voices in India In 2022 and 2023, Harish was also listed by Forbes Forbes among the top ten most influential chief marketing officers in the world. He is a popular keynote speaker at many corporate events. In his most recent role, he led the development and growth of TATA, which is India’s most valuable brand. Harish has also played a key role in strategic initiatives such as the acquisition of Tetley Tea by the Tata group, and the turnaround of the jewelry business at Titan. Harish is a graduate of BITS Pilani and IIM Ahmedabad. In 1987, he won the IIM Ahmedabad Gold Medal for scholastic excellence. In 2017, he received the Distinguished Alumnus Award from BITS Pilani. Harish is a popular Columnist and has been writing a popular monthly marketing column - "The Curious Marketer" - in the Hindu Business Line newspaper, since 2008.
