From CEO-to-CEO
(From Chief Executive Officer to Chief Entertainment Officer)
I was a CEO of an IT Company for 25 years before I decided to try stand-up comedy as a hobby at the age of 44. My midlife crises and the pressure from my wife to have something more to my life than just work, work, work pushed me to sign up for a comedy open mic, enjoyed it thoroughly, turned successful and made me consider my career. At 48, I gave up my full-time CEO job and got into full time stand-up comedy.
In my fun and inspirational interactive talk about my journey and the challenges I have faced at home and work. I explain my journey from my early gigs, my first comedy set, working with comedians half my age and how I incorporated my learning from my corporate life to stand-up comedy. This is a moderated session and I am happy to take Q&A from the audience members.
I HAVE CONDUCTED MANY ONLINE SESSIONS OF THIS SHOW WHICH WERE VERY WELL RECEIVED.
SOME SAMPLE QUESTIONS INCLUDE:
• DO I MISS CORPORATE LIFE?
• HOW DID MY FIRST EVER GIG GO?
• ANY LEARNINGS FROM MY CORPORATE LIFE WHICH I HAVE INCORPORATED IN STAND-UP?
• I HAVE A WIFE & AN ACTIVE TINDER ACCOUNT! HOW DID I MANAGE BOTH TOGETHER?
