Meet Chandramouli Venkatesan
Chandramouli Venkatesan has a strong corporate track record of over twenty-five years. An alumnus of Anna University, Chennai, and XLRI, Jamshedpur, he has worked in a variety of sectors in different roles. He started his career with Asian Paints in 1991 and worked across sales and marketing during his tenure there which lasted almost a decade. Post a brief stint in GE capital, he worked with Onida as VP, sales and marketing, for four years. After that he joined Cadbury in 2005 and worked there till 2016. Over that time Cadbury metamorphosed to Kraft Foods and Mondelez and his last role there was as managing director for India. In his decade-plus time there he has worked in a variety of areas including strategy, marketing, HR and general management across India and Asia-Pacific. He has now joined Pidilite Industries as CEO, special projects, with the mission to create and set up a new business for them.
Chandramouli is a B Tech (Chemical Engineer) from Anna University, Chennai. After completing his PGDBM from XLRI in 1991, he joined Asian Paints wherein he spent close to a decade in Sales and Marketing. Thereafter, Chandramouli had stints in GE Countrywide Consumer finance and Mirc Electronics Limited (Onida) post which he joined Mondelez International in 2005. In Mondelez, he had varied range of roles spanning Strategy, Innovation, HR, Marketing at Asia Pacific level regional roles culminating in being the MD for Mondelez India.
recently released a book titled 'Catalyst'. It's a simple, non-threatening, 'first principle'-based series of lessons on career management and professional success. In the author's words, the book is "a tool-kit and guide from a practitioner's point of view".
