Meet Elana Meyers Taylor
A former professional softball player whose Olympic dream died when softball was eliminated from the Olympic Games years ago, Elana Meyers Taylor switched to bobsled to fulfill that dream and is now one of the very best pilots (driver) the sport has ever seen. A pioneer in the sport, she is the first woman to ever pilot a four-man bobsled team in the international competition and the only woman to win a medal doing so. Not just a champion athlete, she has an MBA in finance and a Master’s in business management. She aspires to one day become the CEO of the US Olympic Committee. During the recent Olympics when Team USA’s men’s bobsled team was faltering, many were calling for Elana to step into the driver’s seat in hopes of winning another medal.
