GHAZAL ALAGH - MAMAEARTH - PROFILE
Ghazal Alagh is an Indian entrepreneur. She is co-founder of well-known beauty brand MamaEarth. Ghazal has also judged a television business reality show Shark Tank India Season 1 in 2021.
As the Co-Founder and Chief Mama at Mamaearth, India’s first toxin-free baby care brand, Ghazal is responsible for product development and community management. She works closely with a large number of mothers to develop a product line that addresses problems that moms face on a daily basis. The idea of a 100% toxin-free baby products brand came to Ghazal when she became a mom and had a difficult time finding chemical-free products for her son, Agastya.
Mamaearth is not only well advertised but also a responsible brand. The products are non-toxic and mother-child friendly. It is the first brand in Asia to be certified by MADESAFE. The products meet all international standards while being personalized for the Indian people.
In 2018-2019, she received the Best Brand of the Year award for Mamaearth. In 2019, she was among the top forty achievers under forty in India. 2019, Super Startups Asia Award. Being one of the top 10 women artists in India, her works of art were displayed nationally and internationally. Leading MamaEarth to success, Mompreneur has been recognized by Entrepreneur India as one of Business World 40 Under 40 and Women Entrepreneur of the Year 2021.
