Every day, he plays the day’s important news clips on the TV, which is normally recorded during his lunch break at home.
 
He frequently updates his music collection from major Indian languages and plays them out to his passengers, in order to keep them entertained throughout.
 
For those who wish to stay updated with national and international news, or do some light reading, there is a collection of eight dailies and a collection of over 35 magazines all stacked neatly inside the auto.
 
Just last year, he installed a card swiping machine which ensures that his passengers can travel cashless in his auto. While even major keepers and businessmen discourage customers from swiping their credit/ debit cards as they (the shopkeeper) would have to pay a fee of 1 or 2 % of the billed amount to the bank. Annadurai states that he feels proud of contributing a share of his earnings to the banks.
 
Annadurai also offers free or discounted rides on special occasions. Teachers are offered free rides every day, lovers on Valentine’s Day, and women traveling with their children on Mother’s Day.
 
“I always look for ways to make my customers happy,” says Annadurai, who keeps his customer satisfaction as his highest priority and earns close to Rs 45,000 every month of which he spends close to Rs 9,000 on the amenities he provides for to his passengers.
