Meet Ishita Katyal
Adults, listen up, says Ishita Katyal: Stop asking kids what they want to do when they grow up -- ask what they want to do right now.
Ishita Katyal is the youngest TEDxYouth organizer in the Asia-Pacific region, as organizer of TEDxYouth@Balewadi. She wrote her first book, Simran’s Diary, when she was 8 years old. She believes success comes from wanting happiness in the present moment, and loves to read and write in her spare time.
Ishita Katyal is a child author, born 2005, and TED speaker from Vibgyor High School in Pune. Katyal is the youngest organiser of TEDx Youth events in the Asia-Pacific region. Katyal organised the first TEDx event in her school on February 7, 2015.
And with her talk held at the TED Youth Conference in New York, she successfully challenged the typical thought ‘kids are too small to make a difference.’
She authored the book ‘Simran’s Diary’, which is doing pretty well for digital viewers through Amazon.com. She is a voracious reader; her favorite authors being Enid Blyton and Ruskin Bond. Other than that, she plays basketball.
