Five-time World Champion in flair style

Tomek Małek is one of the best flair bartenders in the World. His uniquely energetic style has secured his victories in the most important competitions organised internationally. So far he has won the title of World Champion in flair style five times, which makes him one of the most titled bartenders in Europe. Tomek is also a five-time winner of the Polish “Independent Flair League”.

Tomasz Małek is a graduate of The Józef Piłsudski University of Physical Education (AWF) in Warsaw. Both his bachelor’s and master’s theses were on flair bartending (bachelor: “Flair Bartending – Methodology of Training and Forms of Competition in Poland”, master’s: “Identification of Features Favouring Achieving High Level in Flair Art”, both of them available to read in the Department of Anatomy and Biomechanics of AWF in Warsaw). Tomek started his adventure with gastronomy in 2003, by doing a course in the International Bartending and Sommelier School. Right after finishing the course he took up his first job as a bartender in an – not functioning any more – “Ego” club. There, under the eye of the “Evolutionbar” team, he made his first steps in flair art. His fascination soon turned into a lifelong passion. Later he worked, among others, in Blue Cactus & Iguana Lounge, Sweet&Sour Bar and Hard Rock Cafe in Warsaw, where he gained experience in mixology, bar psychology and organising events.

MAREK POSŁUSZNY 

Two-time World Champion in flair style

Marek Posłuszny is one of the best flair bartenders in the world. Unique acrobatics and dynamic routines have become his trademark. During his professional career he has many times stood on the podium of the most important competitions organised in his homeland and abroad. But his winning streak came in the year 2011, when he won two World Champion titles in flair style. The first during an IBA “World Cocktail Championship” in Warsaw, the second not even a few days later during “Bacardi World Flair Championship 2011” in Monaco.

Marek Posłuszny started his adventure with gastronomy in his hometown – Bielsko-Biała. In the beginning he worked as a waiter in Karczma Rogata restaurant, where he saw flair bartenders at work for the first time. He became fascinated with this art and started intensive trainings. After a few months of practising he took part in his first competition ever. His short adventure with flair bartending turned into a great lifelong passion. After a few years working in clubs in Bielsko-Biała, Marek moved to Warsaw to start studying and practising together with Tomek Małek.
